Job summary

Avanath Capital is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain our multifamily properties and ensure excellent resident service. You will perform repairs, preventative maintenance, make-readies, and basic grounds upkeep while upholding safety standards and company policies.

The role emphasizes on-site work, teamwork, and responsiveness to emergencies. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential, with on-call availability and reliable transportation required.

Qualifications

• 2 years of multifamily maintenance experience is highly desired.
• Hands-on maintenance skills including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, appliances, pools, etc.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification is highly desired; CPO is a plus.
• Availability to be on-call to address emergencies.
• Reliable Transportation.
• A positive attitude and the desire to learn and develop your skills.
• Superior customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer knowledge: Windows, Word, Excel, internet, and e-mail.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service with every interaction and delivers high-quality maintenance service.
• Complete assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance following safety standards and code requirements.
• Complete the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing and new move-ins, including inspections and vendor coordination.
• Assist in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities through cleaning and minor upkeep.
• Support cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible and communicating needs to management.
• Follow safety, policies, and regulatory requirements; participate in routine safety meetings.
