Job summary

Avanath is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our communities well‑maintained and inviting. You will handle routine repairs, preventative tasks, and make‑ready readiness to welcome new residents, while delivering exceptional service.

Role requires hands‑on skills across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC and more, with on‑call availability and a focus on safety and efficiency at multiple properties. Join Avanath’s team and grow with internal opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2 years of multifamily maintenance experience is highly desired.
• Hands‑on maintenance skills, including plumbing, electrical, general carpentry, HVAC, appliances, pools, etc.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification is highly desired; CPO is a plus.
• Availability to be on‑call to address any emergencies.
• Reliable Transportation.
• A positive attitude and the desire to learn and develop your skills.
• Superior customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work both independently and as a member of a team.
• Basic computer knowledge, Windows (Word, Excel), internet, and e‑mail.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service with every interaction and delivers high‑quality maintenance service.
• Complete assigned work orders from resident requests and preventive maintenance, diagnosing causes and repairing per safety standards.
• Completes make‑ready process to prepare vacant homes for leasing, including inspections, punch lists, and coordinating vendors.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities; pressure‑wash breezeways and pool areas; paint curbs and signage as needed.
• Supports cost‑cutting by fixing parts rather than replacing; conducts routine property inspections and communicates needs to management.
• Follows material access procedures, tracks inventory, and notifies supervisor for re‑orders.
