Job summary

Fairway Management, Inc. is seeking a skilled maintenance technician for our Joplin, MO properties. You will perform unit turns, fix plumbing and electrical issues, and handle general building maintenance to keep communities safe and inviting.

You must have at least 3 years of multifamily/hotel maintenance experience, a High School diploma, and knowledge of REAC/INSPIRE prep; HVAC basics and EPA Type II preferred. You must be able to lift 55 lbs and be available for after-hours on-call.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years in multifamily, commercial, or hotel maintenance.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, basic HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, and building operating systems.
• Knowledge of REAC and INSPIRE inspection preparation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC during unit turns, work orders, and preventive maintenance.
• Perform general repairs independently.
• Maintain curb appeal and complete daily resident work orders.
• Be available for on-call after hours.
• Travel for regional and corporate training as required.
• Maintain relationships with residents, vendors, and staff; report health and safety concerns.
• Assist neighboring properties and pick up supplies as needed.
• Train on HVAC, safety, HUD/LIHTC maintenance training.
