Job summary

JES Holdings, managing Fairway Management, is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for our Wentzville, MO properties. You will perform unit turns, preventive maintenance, and general repairs, ensuring high standards of upkeep and resident satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in multifamily or related maintenance, with knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair, and REAC/INSPIRE prep. Expect on-site work, after-hours on-call, and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in multifamily, commercial, or hotel maintenance
• Working knowledge in plumbing, electrical, basic HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, and building operating systems
• Knowledge of REAC and INSPIRE inspection preparation

Responsibilities

• Regularly troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC as part of completing unit turns, work orders, and preventative maintenance.
• Perform general repairs independently.
• Maintain exceptional curb appeal.
• Complete daily resident work orders.
• Be available for on call after hours.
• Must have applicable maintenance tools.
• Conduct unit make readies ensuring that they are completed in a timely manner (painting, carpet cleaning, and general unit cleaning).
• Perform quarterly preventative maintenance checks.
• Willing to assist neighboring properties in maintenance tasks.
• Pick up supplies from area vendors as needed while operating a registered and insured vehicle.
• Reports to Regional Manager and Maintenance Superintendent for all delegated tasks.
• Travel to and participate in regional and corporate trainings/conferences as required.
• Maintain positive relationships with residents, vendors, and staff.
• Report health and safety concerns on site.
• Willing to work overtime as needed and approved.
• Eager to train in HVAC, safety training, HUD and LIHTC maintenance standards.
