Fairway Management, Inc. in Joplin, MO is seeking a proactive Maintenance Technician to upkeep our apartment communities and common areas.

You will perform repairs, troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and carpentry tasks, and respond to resident work orders with professionalism. The role requires reliability, the ability to lift 55 lbs, and a willingness to travel between properties for turnovers and training.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in multifamily, commercial, or hotel maintenance.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, basic HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, and building operating systems.
• Familiarity with REAC and INSPIRE inspection preparation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC as part of unit turns and preventative maintenance.
• Perform general repairs independently and ensure timely completion of work orders.
• Maintain curb appeal and conduct unit make-readies (painting, carpet cleaning, cleaning).
• Be available for on-call after hours and travel for regional/corporate training as required.
• Coordinate with vendors for supplies and report health/safety concerns to management.
