Job summary

Avanath Capital is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold property upkeep, safety, and appeal. You will address resident requests, perform routine and preventative maintenance, and help prepare homes for lease-ready status.

The role emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards across property operations. Applicants should have 2 years of multifamily maintenance experience and hands-on skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and pools.

Qualifications

• 2 years of multifamily maintenance experience desired.
• Hands-on maintenance skills including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, appliances, pools.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification is highly desired; CPO is a plus.
• Availability to be on-call for emergencies.
• Reliable transportation and strong customer service skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality maintenance services with strong customer service to residents.
• Complete work orders and preventative maintenance, diagnose defects, and repair per policy and safety standards.
• Finish make-ready process for vacant homes, plan punch lists, and coordinate vendors.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities; perform cleaning and painting as needed.
• Assist in cost control by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible.
• Follow safety procedures, OSHA training, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor inventory, request re-orders, and report maintenance needs to supervisor.
