Job summary

Avanath Capital Management, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep properties well-maintained and welcoming for residents. You will handle repairs, preventative maintenance, and make-ready tasks, ensuring safety, code compliance, and high service standards across communities.

The role requires hands-on skills in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general carpentry, with on-call availability and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 2 years of multifamily maintenance experience is highly desired.
• Hands-on maintenance skills, including plumbing, electrical, general carpentry, HVAC, appliances, pools, etc.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification is highly desired; CPO is a plus.
• Availability to be on-call to address any emergencies.
• Reliable Transportation.
• A positive attitude and the desire to learn and develop your skills.
• Superior customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work both independently and as a member of a team.
• Basic computer knowledge, Windows (Word, Excel), internet, and e-mail.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service with every interaction and deliver high-quality maintenance service.
• Complete assigned work orders from resident requests for service, and preventative maintenance on the property by diagnosing the source or cause of the defect and making repairs in accordance with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Complete the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing by completing inspections, creating a punch list, scheduling vendors, and completing maintenance tasks.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, painting curbs, and assisting with upkeep.
• Support cost-cutting by repairing parts rather than replacing when possible and track inventory to aid re-ordering.
• Adhere to safety, regulations, and property policies; attend safety meetings and training as required.
