Job summary

Avanath Capital seeks a Maintenance Technician to keep our multifamily communities in excellent condition and attractive for residents. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliances, and pools while delivering outstanding service.

The role requires on-call availability, reliability, and a collaborative approach to working with residents, staff, vendors, and leadership.

Qualifications

• 2 years of multifamily maintenance experience
• Hands-on maintenance skills including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, appliances, pools
• EPA Type II or Universal certification is highly desired; CPO is a plus
• Availability to be on-call to address emergencies
• Reliable transportation and a positive attitude
• Superior customer service and verbal communication skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer knowledge: Windows, Word, Excel, internet, and e-mail

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service with every interaction and deliver high-quality maintenance service
• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing faults and repairing per policies, safety standards, and codes
• Complete the make-ready process to prepare vacant homes for leasing, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and ensuring tasks are done
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities, including cleaning and painting as needed
• Support cost-control by fixing parts when possible and managing materials efficiently; participate in routine property inspections
• Follow procedures to obtain materials, track inventory, return unused items, and notify for re-ordering
