Avanath Capital Management, LLC in San Francisco, CA seeks a Maintenance Technician to uphold our community standards and deliver excellent resident service. You will diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and related systems while maintaining curb appeal and safety.

This essential role requires hands-on skills, reliability, on-call availability, and a collaborative spirit to coordinate with staff and vendors.

Qualifications

2 years of multifamily maintenance experience is highly desired.
Hands-on maintenance skills including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, appliances, pools, etc.
EPA Type II or Universal certification is highly desired; CPO is a plus.
Availability to be on-call to address emergencies.
Reliable Transportation.
A positive attitude and the desire to learn and develop skills.
Superior customer service and verbal communication skills.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic computer knowledge, Windows (Word, Excel), internet, and e-mail.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service with every interaction and deliver high‑quality maintenance service.
Complete assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing and repairing defects.
Complete the make-ready process to prepare vacant homes for leasing and move-ins, including inspections and scheduling.
Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities; perform cleaning and painting as needed.
Assist in cost control by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible and track inventory.
Follow safety procedures and report any malfunctions or injuries promptly.
Adhere to regulatory requirements and company policies for safety and integrity.
