Job summary

Avanath is looking for a Maintenance Technician to keep properties in excellent condition and to deliver outstanding service to residents. You will handle routine maintenance, respond to work orders, and support make‑ready processes to accelerate leasing and occupancy.

The role requires hands‑on skills across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and related systems, with an emphasis on safety, teamwork, and resident satisfaction. On‑call availability is expected.

Qualifications

• 2 years of multifamily maintenance experience is highly desired.
• Hands‑on maintenance skills including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, appliances, pools.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification is highly desired; CPO is a plus.
• Availability to be on‑call to address emergencies.
• Reliable Transportation.
• Superior customer service and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service with every interaction and delivers high‑quality maintenance service.
• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance.
• Completes the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments and coordinates vendors.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities and assists with safety compliance.
• Supports cost‑efficiency by fixing rather than replacing when possible and tracks inventory.
