Job summary
Avanath is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain multifamily properties in Long Beach, CA. You will perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, appliance, and pool work while delivering exceptional resident service and upholding safety standards.
On-call availability and a dependable car are required; EPA Type II or Universal certification is highly desired, with CPO a plus. The role emphasizes teamwork, cost-conscious repairs, and a strong sense of community.
Qualifications
- 2 years of multifamily maintenance experience preferred.
- Hands-on maintenance skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, appliances, and pools.
- EPA Type II or Universal certification is highly desired; CPO is a plus.
- On-call availability for emergencies.
- Reliable transportation and team-oriented with strong customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service and high-quality maintenance.
- Complete work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance.
- Prepare vacants with make-ready, inspect, and coordinate vendors.
- Maintain grounds and common areas, including cleaning and painting as needed.
- Help control costs by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible.
- Assist in property inspections for safety and maintenance needs.
