Job summary

Avanath is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our multifamily communities in top condition. You will diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and appliances, while delivering excellent resident service and maintaining safety standards.

On-call availability and collaboration with vendors are expected as part of day-to-day operations. Responsibilities include completing work orders, make-ready tasks for new move-ins, grounds maintenance, and proactive inspections.

Qualifications

• 2 years of multifamily maintenance experience is highly desired.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification is highly desired; CPO is a plus.
• Availability to be on-call to address emergencies.
• Reliable Transportation.
• A positive attitude and the desire to learn and develop your skills.
• Superior customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Basic computer knowledge, Windows (Word, Excel), internet, and e-mail.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service with every interaction and delivers high-quality maintenance service.
• Complete assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair per safety standards and codes.
• Complete the make-ready process for vacant homes, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and coordinating supplies.
• Maintain grounds and common areas; perform cleaning, painting, and minor repairs as needed.
• Support cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible and tracking inventory and re-orders.
• Adhere to safety and regulatory policies, attend safety meetings, and report incidents promptly.
