Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee and perform technical and mechanical work ensuring units and common areas meet safety and appearance standards. The role involves preventive maintenance, make-ready tasks, inventory management, and coordinating with a maintenance manager across a 452-unit garden property.

Responsibilities include handling work orders, inspections, grounds upkeep, and cost-saving maintenance practices, with on-site presence and rotating on-call duties.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or related experience and/or training.
• EPA Type I/II or Universal for refrigerant recycling certifications.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Leads and performs completion of work orders and preventative maintenance per policies and codes.
• Manages make-ready process for vacant units and coordinates vendor work.
• Maintains inventory and sources materials as needed, under supervision of Area Maintenance Manager.
• Monitors inspections via Leonardo 247, Entrata, and other platforms to ensure compliance.
• Completes documentation promptly for service requests and records.
• Maintains grounds, amenities, and common areas; performs cleaning and painting as needed.
• Supports cost-saving by repairing instead of replacing parts when feasible.
