Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet safety and quality standards. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and preventing issues with a focus on efficient, cost-conscious maintenance.

Responsibilities include completing work orders, making-ready tasks for vacant units, inventory management, and documentation. Candidates should have 2+ years in property maintenance and EPA HVAC certifications, with a valid driver's license

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and/or training.
• 2 years minimum experience in property management maintenance, other building maintenance, or related trade.
• EPA certifications Type I and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• Valid driver's license to operate a golf cart on property.
• Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently, as a leader, and a collaborative member of a team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair defects to meet safety and code requirements.
• Complete make-ready tasks for vacant units including inspections and punch lists.
• Manage materials, inventory, and re-order needs with maintenance supervisor.
• Document work orders accurately and on time for tracking.
• Maintain grounds, amenities, and common areas; assist with cleaning and painting as needed.
• Support cost-control by fixing parts rather than replacing when feasible.
