Job summary

TAM Residential is seeking a proactive Community Manager to oversee a multifamily property’s operations, leasing, and resident relations. You will lead on-site staff, manage budgets, monitor occupancy, and ensure regulatory compliance while delivering exceptional living experiences for residents.

Responsibilities include marketing, leasing tours, vendor management, safety and compliance, and optimizing profitability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in property management; multifamily experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions and handle emergencies professionally.
• Customer-service mindset with problem-solving ability.
• Must be available to respond to emergencies after normal business hours.
• If job duties require the use of a vehicle or golf cart, driver’s license and insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and supervise on-site staff including leasing and maintenance teams.
• Foster a positive, collaborative work environment focused on service and performance.
• Conduct regular staff meetings, performance reviews, and coaching.
• Prepare, manage, and adhere to the community’s operating budget.
• Monitor rent collections, delinquencies, and vendor invoices.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing and other regulations.
• Oversee vendor relationships, negotiations, and purchasing.
• Utilize leasing and maintenance software for operations and reporting.
• Support marketing to maintain occupancy and reduce vacancy loss.
• Promote resident retention through events and service quality.
