Job summary

Compass Group USA is seeking an Assistant General Manager to oversee dining operations at Fort Carson, CO, in conjunction with the General Manager. The role focuses on budgeting, safety, sanitation, staff development, and client satisfaction within a military dining program.

You will manage purchasing, menu planning with chefs, and ensure HACCP compliance while maintaining excellent relations with employees and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
• Five to seven years upscale food service experience with one year multi-unit management.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience in budgeting, cost control and financial targets.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations with the General Manager to meet client expectations and budget.
• Lead safety, sanitation, and maintenance programs and supervise staff.
• Foster interdepartmental collaboration and team development.
• Manage purchasing, inventory, and food cost controls.
• Plan menu in coordination with chefs and ensure regulatory compliance.
