Job summary

Invitation Homes is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to deliver high-quality maintenance in our single-family rental homes while delivering outstanding resident service. You’ll handle multiple trades, perform proactive ProCare maintenance, and educate residents on home systems and responsibilities.

Ideal candidates have 2–5+ years of residential repair experience, OSHA 10, and relevant certifications. A valid driver’s license, strong communication, and willingness to work flexible hours are

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2-5+ years’ proven experience in residential repairs/maintenance.
• OSHA 10 required (new hires have 90 days to complete).
• Certifications such as EPA Type I/II/Universal, HVAC, CPO are a plus.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; multilingual a plus.
• Comfortable with mobile devices and apps.
• Knowledge of residential construction and systems; be able to perform general repairs.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and insurance; state licenses as required.
• Able to work regular hours including weekends/holidays; carry tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance service requests across multiple trades in single-family rental homes.
• Provide outstanding customer service and promote quality living experiences for residents.
• Complete ProCare visits, checklists, and schedule next visits via mobile app.
• Educate residents on maintenance topics and home systems.
• Perform property condition assessments and alert management for urgent items.
• Use technician reports to identify improvement opportunities.
• Repair work in vacant properties during turn or market periods.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain tools/equipment.
