Job summary

The Arboretum of Winnie is seeking an Area Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations across multiple long-term care facilities in Texas. You will supervise staff, coordinate schedules, and ensure the physical plant remains safe and compliant with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include developing preventive maintenance programs, supervising contractors, managing safety inspections, and coordinating budgets for repair, maintenance, and projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in long-term care maintenance.
• Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to caring for elderly and disabled individuals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance operations: supervise staff, schedules, and functions across multiple facilities.
• Perform maintenance tasks: ensure the physical plant and equipment are safe and functioning.
• Manage preventive maintenance: establish, implement, and audit preventive maintenance programs.
• Supervise contractors: oversee outside contractors for repairs and projects.
• Maintain safety standards: conduct and document inspections of fire control systems and coordinate monthly fire drills.
• Promote safety awareness: participate in new hire orientation to promote safety and policies.
• Budget management: work within repair, maintenance, and project budgets.
• Stock and equipment oversight: order and maintain supplies and equipment, and repair tools as necessary.
