Job summary

Arbor Care Centers is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily operations of the maintenance department in a long-term care setting. You will manage preventative maintenance programs, ensure power, water, climate control, safety systems, and resident services remain reliable, and supervise housekeeping and laundry staff to maintain quality of care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 2–4 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current driving license in good standing.
• Must be physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and operate equipment.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English including presentations.
• Positive interaction with residents, families, staff and volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations of the Maintenance Department in a long-term care facility.
• Manages preventative maintenance programs and repairs in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and related systems.
• Maintains emergency power, life safety, and critical equipment in safe operating condition.
• Supervises housekeeping and laundry departments; schedules and performance reviews.
• Ensures compliance with state and federal laws, facility policies, and HIPAA guidelines.
• Supports budget development and equipment inventory; coordinates drills and safety procedures.
