Job summary

The Arboretum of Winnie in Texas is seeking a Unit Manager to lead nursing operations and ensure high-quality resident care. You must be an RN in good standing with the Texas Board of Nursing, with the ability to multitask and communicate effectively in a team-focused environment.

In this role, you will assess systems, guide care plans, supervise staff, document records, and participate in quality assurance. This is a full-time on-site position offering comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse in good standing with the Texas Board of Nursing.
• Experience in long-term care is preferred but not required.
• Strong clinical skills and a passion for resident-centered care; ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate systems that support the delivery of quality resident care.
• Resolve resident care issues and family concerns in a professional, timely manner.
• Implement and evaluate nursing procedures aligned with unit programs.
• Make clinical nursing diagnoses and guide care plans accordingly.
• Perform nursing assessments to monitor resident health status.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessments.
• Educate residents and families on health conditions and care plans.
• Participate in quality assurance activities and ensure compliance.
• Maintain accurate documentation per company policy and regulations.
• Step in for general nursing duties in emergencies or during staffing shortages.
• Use electronic medical records and demonstrate basic computer proficiency.
