Job summary

The Arboretum of Winnie is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations, ensuring the facility remains safe, functional, and compliant. In this role you will hire, train, and supervise the maintenance team and coordinate preventive maintenance activities.

Strong leadership and communication skills are required, along with knowledge of HVAC, boilers, water systems, and emergency equipment. You will manage supplies and budgeting while coordinating schedules to meet census needs.

Qualifications

• Facility maintenance experience in healthcare or long-term care preferred.
• Understanding of HVAC, boilers, water systems, and emergency systems.
• Ability to implement and manage a preventive maintenance program.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage supply ordering and departmental budgeting.
• HVAC experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance operations: hire, train, and supervise maintenance team.
• Promote safety and compliance: conduct fire system inspections and monthly drills.
• Oversee preventive maintenance program development and implementation.
• Maintain equipment: inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC, boilers, water systems, laundry equipment, generators.
• Manage supplies and budget within guidelines.
• Supervise contractors: oversee external contractors.
• Maintain standards for safety, operation, and regulatory compliance.
• Train staff and promote adherence to safety procedures.
• Coordinate schedules based on census needs and labor budgets.
