Job summary

Neighborhood House is seeking a Facilities Supervisor to lead day‑to‑day operations, maintenance, and redevelopment projects across HQ, apartment complex, and four early learning centers. You will ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and cost control while supporting multiple sites and staff.

The role requires hands‑on maintenance skills, strong vendor coordination, and capacity to plan long‑term asset protection in a nonprofit setting. Travel between sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with safety, compliance, and ADA requirements.
• Hands-on knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
• Experience with budget planning and management.
• Experience coordinating vendors, contractors, and service providers.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to assess priorities and respond calmly in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the facility Operations and Maintenance Manual and oversee daily operation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, security, and building control systems.
• Perform routine inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety issues, and operational risks.
• Coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance for systems and components.
• Maintain building appearance, cleanliness, and functionality for staff, clients, and visitors.
• Supervise facilities volunteer work and projects and manage HQ and properties.
• Coordinate renovations of units at the apartment complex and oversee site access for contractors.
• Oversee safety, security, compliance, and risk management across sites.
