Job summary

Kidventure's Assistant Coordinator, After School, responsibilities include owning day-to-day site performance across Houston, ensuring compliance, staffing, and strong family/school relationships. The role is field-based, coaching leadership teams to resolve issues directly in the sites.

Required are 30 college hours with child-related courses or a CDA, and CPR/First Aid certs (training provided). Strong communication and on-site leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 30 college semester hours with six (6) hours in child-related courses or 12 months of experience with six hours in child-related courses or a CDA credential.
• Minimum one year of work experience in a Boys or Girls Club or similar organization preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Group leadership skills and organizational abilities.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Site relationships: maintain ongoing communication with site contacts and families.
• Staffing: oversee staffing, staff morale, and attendance; coach leadership teams.
• Compliance: own site minimum standards and adherence to Kidventure policies.
• Program oversight: conduct site visits and ensure sites run smoothly and safely.
• Growth: establish and support new locations as Kidventure expands.
• Additional support: take on operational projects to keep Houston after-school programs running.
