Job summary

YMCA of Greater Houston seeks an Afterschool Site Lead to guide a licensed school-age enrichment program. You will ensure safety, engagement, and high-quality daily operations, aligning with YMCA standards.

The role covers licensing compliance, family partnerships, and program planning in a part-time schedule; a $3/hour stipend is available for eligible districts. Strong leadership and community relationships are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 70 clock hours training in child/youth development; equivalent college coursework counts toward hours.
• 1+ year of experience working with youth in a licensed childcare setting or similar environment.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications (or ability to obtain) required.

Responsibilities

• Keep children safe with proper supervision and attendance tracking.
• Manage daily program operations and licensing compliance as Site Director.
• Supervise staff and ensure safety and age-appropriate activities.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities per YMCA curriculum.
• Engage parents and communities; maintain enrollment and attendance records.
• Ensure program quality and adherence to policies and standards.
• Support program growth and retention efforts.
