Job summary

YMCA of Greater Houston seeks an Afterschool Site Lead to oversee a licensed school-age program in the Katy area. You will ensure safety, engage youth, and coordinate daily operations while implementing the YMCA curriculum and maintaining licensing standards.

The role requires leadership, planning, and strong communication with families and school partners. Part-time hours may vary with ISD calendars, and a temporary $3.00 per hour stipend is offered for eligible locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 70 clock hours in youth development or related field.
• Experience with youth in licensed childcare or similar setting.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention certifications or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead licensed afterschool program to keep children safe and engaged.
• Coordinate daily operations, licensing compliance, and family partnerships.
• Maintain attendance, safety records, and program quality.
• Plan age-appropriate activities and implement YMCA curriculum.
• Communicate with parents and school partners; assist with enrollment and retention.
