Job summary

YMCA of Greater Houston seeks an Afterschool Site Lead to oversee a licensed school-age enrichment program in Houston. Lead daily operations, ensure safety, and deliver YMCA curricula while engaging families and school partners.

You will supervise staff, maintain records, and implement age-appropriate activities. This role requires strong leadership, safety awareness, and commitment to youth development with a flexible part-time schedule.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED with additional childcare training.
• Minimum 1 year experience with youth in licensed settings.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and child abuse prevention certifications (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Lead the licensed afterschool program ensuring safety and engagement.
• Manage daily operations and licensing compliance.
• Coordinate curriculum implementation with families and partners.
• Model positive behavior management.
• Conduct safety drills and maintain records.
• Communicate with parents and supervise staff.
