Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services in Geismar, LA is seeking a skilled welder capable of certifying on multi-process pipe, proficient in SMAW, GTAW and GMAW, with knowledge of x-ray qualities. You will lay out, align and weld fabricated components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, tanks, vessels, and pipe according to blueprints.

Responsibilities include selecting materials and equipment, planning layouts, applying welding techniques, performing welding in various positions,

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent with prior welding experience.
• Familiar with welding procedures and safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and metallurgy specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, align and weld components to assemble structural forms per blueprints.
• Operate SMAW, GTAW, GMAW and other processes as required.
• Inspect welds for quality and dimensions; ensure compliance with safety rules.
