Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a skilled welder capable of certifying across multi-process pipe welding, including SMAW, GTAW and GMAW, with possible x-ray qualities. You will lay out, align and weld fabricated components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, tanks, and piping systems according to blueprints and metallurgy.

Responsibilities include selecting pipe sizes, planning layouts, and welding with various processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with multi-process welding and pipefitting.
• Knowledge of welding symbols, blueprints and metallurgy.

Responsibilities

• Selects type and size of pipe or equipment according to specs.
• Plans layouts and welding, applying geometry and welding techniques.
• Welds components per procedure using SMAW, GTAW, GMAW.
• Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components for assembly.
• Inspects bead size and fusion; maintains equipment and safety.
