Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a skilled welder capable of certifying on multi-process pipe and welding in SMAW, GTAW and GMAW. The role involves laying out, aligning and welding fabricated components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, tanks, pressure vessels and piping systems on site in Texas.

Qualifications

• May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience.
• Knowledge of safety and certification standards applicable to welding work.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and metallurgy for pipe and vessel fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Selects type and size of pipe or related materials according to specifications.
• Plans layouts and welding steps, applying knowledge of geometry and welding techniques.
• Welds components in various positions and ensures bead size and specifications meet standards.
• Loads, transports and secures tools and materials; follows safety rules and procedures.
• Assists in maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment as needed.
