Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a skilled welder capable of certifying on SMAW, GTAW and GMAW processes for multi‑process pipe work. The role requires reading blueprints and metallurgy specs to lay out, align, and weld components forming machinery frames, tanks, pressure vessels, and piping systems.

You will select materials according to specifications, plan layouts, and weld in various positions while ensuring bead quality and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• May require a high school diploma or equivalent with previous field experience.
• Ability to interpret plans, blueprints and metallurgy specs.
• Capable of certifying on multi-process pipe welding (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW).

Responsibilities

• Lay out, align and weld fabricated, cast and forged components to form structural units.
• Select pipe types/sizes per specifications and plan layouts and welding sequences.
• Weld in various positions and inspect bead size and weld quality.
• Follow safety rules and maintain tools and work area.
