Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a skilled welder capable of certifying on multi-process pipe and proficient in SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW welding. Responsibilities include laying out, aligning and welding components for piping systems, tanks, and vessels according to blueprints and metallurgy.

The role requires reading specifications, selecting appropriate welding methods, and performing welds in various positions while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
• Make decisions based on measurable criteria.
• Apply basic mathematics to solve problems.
• Plan work and select proper tools.
• Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings.
• Compare and see differences in the size, shape and form of lines, figures and objects.

Responsibilities

• Selects type and size of pipe or other related materials and equipment according to specifications.
• Plans layouts, assembly, and welding, applying knowledge of geometry and metal properties.
• Lays out, positions, aligns and fits components in various body positions.
• Welds components using arc welding methods in various positions.
• Maintains safety and quality standards and follows procedures.
