Job summary

Brown & Root is seeking a skilled welder capable of certifying on multi-process pipe welding including SMAW, GTAW and GMAW. The role involves laying out, aligning and welding fabricated components such as machinery frames, tanks, vessels, shells and pipe to blueprints and metallurgy.

The job requires selecting appropriate pipe sizes, planning layouts, applying welding techniques, and passing required safety and quality checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with welding experience.
• Knowledge of welding procedures, safety rules and quality standards.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Physical ability to handle heavy components and wear protective gear.

Responsibilities

• Select pipe sizes and materials per specifications.
• Layout, align, and weld components to assemble structures.
• Utilize various welding processes per procedure (MIG/TIG/Stick).
• Inspect welds for bead size and quality and perform minor repairs.
• Move and position materials, operate basic shop equipment, and maintain tools.
