Job summary

Central Gulf Industrial Alliance is seeking a skilled welder capable of certifying on multi-process pipe, proficient in SMAW, GTAW and GMAW welding processes. The role may require x-ray qualities and includes laying out, aligning and welding fabricated components per blueprints and metallurgy.

Responsibilities include selecting pipe sizes per specifications, planning layouts, welding in various positions, and ensuring weld quality.

Qualifications

• May require high school diploma or equivalent with previous years of experience.
• Knowledge of basic welding concepts and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and metallurgy information.

Responsibilities

• Selects type/size of pipe per specifications.
• Plans layouts and welding using geometry and welding techniques.
• May use GMAW, SMAW, GTAW welding processes as required.
• Lays out, positions, aligns and fits components for assembly/welding.
• Welds components in various positions and inspects weld quality.
• Loads, transports and prepares materials/tools; follows safety rules.
