Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a skilled welder in Texas to lay out, align and weld fabricated components for machinery frames, tanks and piping systems. You will perform welding across SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW processes, read blueprints, and follow metallurgy specifications to ensure proper depth of fusion and bead quality.

The role involves handling arc welding equipment, maintaining safety standards, and working in varying positions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with welding procedures and metal fabrication.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret metallurgy specs.

Responsibilities

• Select type and size of pipe or related materials per specifications.
• Plan layouts and welding, applying geometry and metal properties knowledge.
• Perform multiple welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW) as required.
• Align and fit components, weld assemblies in various positions.
• Operate welding power units and feed electrodes per procedure.
