Job summary

Brown & Root is seeking an experienced welder capable of certifying on multi-process pipe welding, including SMAW, GTAW and GMAW, with potential x-ray qualifications. The role involves laying out, aligning and welding fabricated parts to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, tanks, pressure vessels and pipe according to blueprints.

The candidate will select appropriate pipe materials, plan layouts, apply welding techniques, and operate various welding processes.

Qualifications

• Must read blueprints and metallurgy.
• Proficient in multi-process welding and assembly.
• Able to pass qualification tests.

Responsibilities

• Selects type and size of pipe or other related materials and equipment according to specifications.
• Welds using SMAW, GTAW or GMAW per procedure.
• Lays out, positions and aligns components in multiple positions.
• Inspects welds for bead size and specifications.
• Complies with safety and project rules.
