Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking an experienced welder capable of certifying on multi-process pipe welding, including SMAW, GTAW and GMAW. The role involves laying out, aligning, and welding fabrications such as machinery frames, tanks and piping according to blueprints.

May require x-ray quality certification. Responsibilities include selecting materials, planning layouts, welding in various positions, and ensuring weld integrity and safety compliance on complex structures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with welding experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and metallurgy specifications.
• Capable of certifying on multi-process welding.
• Must pass performance tests to meet certification standards.

Responsibilities

• Select type and size of pipe or related materials per specifications.
• Plan layouts, welding, and fittings using geometry and metallurgy knowledge.
• May use SMAW, GTAW, GMAW processes as required.
• Lay out, position, align, and weld components in various positions.
• Operate welding equipment and ensure quality bead fusion and inspection.
