Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services seeks an experienced welder capable of certifying on multi-process pipe and being proficient in SMAW, GTAW and GMAW welding methods. The role involves laying out, aligning and welding fabricated components such as piping systems, tanks and pressure vessels according to blueprints and metallurgy.

Responsibilities include selecting materials, planning layouts, applying various welding processes, and inspecting weld quality while adhering to safety and project

Qualifications

• Candidates proficient in SMAW, GTAW and GMAW and able to read blueprints.
• Experience with multi-process piping and structural welds is preferred.
• Certification and safety compliance are required.

Responsibilities

• Selects pipe sizes and materials according to specifications.
• Plans layouts, assembly, and welding with geometry and weld techniques.
• Performs various welding processes (GMAW, GTAW, SMAW) as required.
• Lays out, positions, aligns and fits components for welding.
• Welds and secures metal components in multiple positions.
• Operates welding equipment and adjusts amperage/voltage per procedure.
• Applies filler material and cleans weld joints as needed.
• Inspects weld quality and performs basic maintenance on tools.
