Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services seeks an experienced welder to certify on multi-process pipe welding (SMAW, GTAW, FCAW) and weld various components per blueprints and metallurgy. The role involves laying out, aligning, and welding pipes, tanks, vessels and structural parts using TIG, Stick and Flux techniques.

Candidates should have high school diploma and be able to read blueprints, follow procedures, and pass relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Must have pipe experience welding TIG, Stick and Flux.
• Capable of certifying on multi-process pipe welding (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW).
• May require x-ray qualities.

Responsibilities

• Selects type and size of pipe or related materials per specs.
• Plans layouts, assembly, and welding using geometry and metallurgy knowledge.
• Uses various welding processes (GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, SMAW) as required.
• Lays out, positions, aligns and fits components for welding.
• Welds components in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Operates welding equipment and adjusts amperage/voltage as specified.
• Maintains weld quality, inspects bead size and depth.
• Performs routine maintenance and cleanup of tools and equipment.
• Assists others and follows safety rules.
