Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a Rig Welder capable of certifying on multi-process pipe welding, including SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW. The role involves laying out, aligning, and welding fabricated components to assemble structural forms such as piping systems and tanks, guided by blueprints.

Electric arc welding knowledge, adherence to safety rules, and the ability to inspect weld quality are essential. Certification potential and on-site work may be involved.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with welding on pipes and structural components preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints/metallurgy and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Selects pipe type/size and related materials per specs.
• Plans layouts and welding using knowledge of metal properties and welding techniques.
• May use GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, SAW, or SMAW per procedure.
• Positions and fits components for welding.
• Welds components in various positions and welds joints per requirements.
