Job summary

5 West Group is seeking a prudent Assistant Property Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of our multi-family communities in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The role focuses on maximizing occupancy, tenant satisfaction, and asset value while ensuring compliance with Fair Housing laws and company policies.

You will coordinate leasing, maintenance, and rent collection efforts, supervise onsite staff and vendors, and work closely with the Property Manager to meet budget goals and revenue targets.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Assistant Property Manager in multi-family housing.
• Strong understanding of property management financials.
• Proficient in MS Office and property management software.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations of multi-family properties.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing and company regulations.
• Maintain a positive, productive relationship with tenants.
• Respond to leasing leads in real time via phone and email.
• Support marketing, leasing, maintenance, and rent collection efforts.
• Supervise onsite staff, vendors, and contractors.
• Negotiate contracts with contractors in a timely and reliable manner.
• Help manage budgets, control expenses, and support revenue growth.
• Work closely with Property Manager to meet performance goals.
