Job summary

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with 1 year of managerial or supervisory experience in a multi-department operation.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and ability to work in a team.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with customer interaction skills.
• Proven leadership to motivate and manage staff with awareness of reports and financial goals.
• Detail-oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Food Safety certification and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee sales and operation of multiple departments (Grocery, Dairy, Frozen, Beer/Wine).
• Control costs and optimize labor, shrink, and pilferage.
• Assist in store readiness for physical inventories.
• Oversee receiving and verify deliveries against invoices.
• Manage ordering, sanitation, back-room inventory, and department safety.
• Provide coaching and development discussions; conduct bi-annual performance reviews.
• Attend in-store meetings and communicate standards and policy changes.
• Recruit, hire, and promote in collaboration with Store Manager.
• Lead and address team member concerns and take corrective actions when needed.
