Job summary

Vertical Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced Level 2 Field Engineer for hands-on IT support across multiple client environments in Fairfield, NJ. This hybrid role combines field visits with Remote support, covering Microsoft 365, Active Directory, networking, and server tasks.

You will troubleshoot, deploy, and repair workstations, servers, and network gear, while documenting issues and collaborating with senior engineers as needed. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of professional IT support experience.
• MSP experience strongly preferred.
• Experience providing onsite technical support in business environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently in the field.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote Level 2 technical support across multiple client environments.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, Microsoft 365, networking, server, and connectivity issues.
• Administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID, user accounts, permissions, and Group Policy.
• Support Windows desktops, laptops, servers, printers, mobile devices, and business applications.
• Troubleshoot networking issues involving TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, VPNs, switches, and firewalls.
• Install and configure workstations, servers, network equipment, wireless access points, printers, and other technology.
• Perform new-user setups, equipment deployments, office moves, and technology refreshes.
• Assist with Microsoft 365, server, network, and cloud migrations and implementations.
• Support client onboarding and technology projects.
• Diagnose onsite issues independently and determine the appropriate resolution or escalation path.
