Job summary

Exigent is seeking an experienced MSP Field Systems Engineer - Level 2 to join our Managed Services team in New Jersey and New York City. The role combines hands-on troubleshooting with strong client communication and professional presence.

You will support client locations across endpoints, servers, and cloud services, with a mix of on-site and remote work, travel to sites, and participation in after-hours on-call.

Qualifications

• MSP experience is required.
• 5+ years of professional IT support experience.
• Strong experience supporting Windows Desktop and Windows Server environments.
• Administration and troubleshooting of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, email, collaboration, identity, and cloud services.
• Experience supporting macOS in business environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote support for desktops, laptops, servers, networks, Microsoft 365, cloud services, and security technologies.
• Serve as a trusted technical presence at client locations, potentially primarily assigned to one client while supporting others.
• Troubleshoot issues from end-user requests to complex server, network, cloud, and infrastructure incidents.
• Own assigned tickets through resolution or escalation, including communication and documentation.
• Perform hands-on field engineering work including equipment installation, deployments, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Assist with client onboarding, technology refreshes, migrations, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Collaborate with internal engineers, project teams, client stakeholders, and third-party vendors.
