Job summary

CTS delivers comprehensive IT solutions for mission-driven organizations with a focus on nonprofits and education. The Field Services Engineer role supports the Service PODs through scheduled field visits, on-site installation, and proactive maintenance for CTS clients.

This full-time position requires strong customer service, networking, and server skills, with travel to client sites approximately 2–3 days per week in Massachusetts. Salary ranges from $60,000 to $80,000 annually.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a customer-facing technical-services environment.
• Proficient in TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VPN, IPSEC, QoS.
• WAN/LAN routing, switching, security, and load balancing experience.
• Windows Server, Windows Desktop, and Apple ecosystem knowledge.
• Experience with PBX systems like Grandstream./Asterisk.
• Android, iOS, GSuite and Office 365 familiarity.
• Strong time management and effective written/spoken communication.
• Basic scripting or coding understanding to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of workstation, server, and cloud apps.
• Respond to service requests and incidents per SLAs and procedures.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and client contacts.
• Maintain professional appearance and client relationships onsite.
• Perform onsite recurring maintenance at client sites.
• Track time and work output using PSA tools.
• Assist internal/project teams on client-facing initiatives.
• Complete assigned projects and tasks with timely delivery.
• Be punctual for onsite visits and dispatches.
