Advocate Health is seeking a Radiologic MRI technologist at High Point Medical Center in High Point, NC. The role requires ARRT-recognized Radiologic/Nuclear Medicine training, MRI registry eligibility, and BLS.

The MR technologist will perform MRI scans, verify orders, prepare patients, and assist during invasive procedures in a safety-conscious environment. The position is PRN - as needed, with the department focused on quality imaging and patient care within Advocate Health’s radiology

Qualifications

• Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology. Active enrollment in an MRI ARRT registry eligible or ARMRIT program required.
• MRI registry must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• BLS

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders on each assigned patient. Refers and questions orders to the Radiologist before performing exam. Contacts ordering provider when there are discrepancies.
• Properly identify (Using two patient identifiers) and assist patients while offering a brief explanation of the procedures. Prepares patients for the procedure with a full explanation and documents on appropriate worksheets.
• Performs MRI scanning and assists Physicians/PA during invasive procedures. Practices proper sterile technique in the preparation of necessary supplies. Performs all invasive procedures in accordance with bloodborne pathogens, isolation, and infection control policies and procedures.
