Job summary

Advocate Health's GCMG Imaging Center: Kenilworth – Radiology: MRI in Charlotte, NC is seeking a part-time MRI technologist. You will perform MRI scans, prepare patients, administer IV contrast per protocol, and ensure image quality while collaborating with Radiologists.

You must have a two-year AMA-approved Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine program, ARRT MRI with advanced registry within a year of hire, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA approved program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology
• ARRT certification in MRI with advanced registry within one year of hire
• BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Examine requests and verify orders; refer to Radiologist when needed.
• Identify patients using two identifiers; explain procedures and document.
• Review EMR for pertinent medical history and correlate results with exam.
• Perform MRI scanning from start to dictation of results.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast per protocols and record type/amount.
• Evaluate image quality and consult Radiologist for abnormalities; perform additional imaging as needed.
• Provide basic patient care; communicate changes in patient condition to nursing staff; assist in emergencies.
• Maintain MRI safety standards and equipment; document in MAR; ensure sterile technique where applicable.
