Qualifications

• Graduate of ARRT-recognized radiologic or nuclear medicine program.
• MRI registry eligibility or ARMRIT program required, must obtain within 1 year of hire.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Verifies orders on each patient and consults Radiologist for discrepancies before exam.
• Identifies patient using two identifiers and explains procedures.
• Performs MRI scanning and assists Physicians/PA during invasive procedures.
• Maintains radiation safety and reports equipment issues to supervisor.
• Operates radiology computer system, documents contrast administration and charges.
