Qualifications

• Graduate of ARRT-recognized radiologic or nuclear medicine program.
• MRI ARRT registry eligible or ARMRIT program; must obtain registry within 1 year of hire.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders with radiologist and clarify discrepancies.
• Identify patient using two identifiers and explain the procedure.
• Review EMR for medical history and document pertinent data.
• Manage exam from start to finish and dictate results.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast per protocol and record details.
• Evaluate image quality and consult radiologist as needed.
• Provide basic patient care and respond to emergencies.
• Perform MRI scans and assist in invasive procedures with sterile technique.
