Job summary

Advocate Health seeks an MRI Technologist I for PRN, part-time coverage in a hospital setting. You will operate MRI scanners and related equipment, follow departmental protocols, manage IV contrast, and assist during invasive procedures under Radiologist supervision.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, history review, and maintaining safety standards in MRI operations. CPR certification and ARRT MRI eligibility required within 1 year of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• Active enrollment in MRI ARRT registry eligible; MRI registry must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders and discuss discrepancies with the Radiologist before exams.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and explain procedures briefly.
• Obtain complete medical history from EMR and correlate results.
• Perform MRI scans following safety and infection-control protocols.
