Job summary

Atlantic Health System in New Jersey seeks an MRI Technologist to operate MRI equipment and acquire diagnostic cross-sectional images with a focus on patient comfort and safety.

You will position patients, select coils, monitor scans, document imaging data, and ensure high-quality results consistent with radiologist protocols. MR certification and BLS are required. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Radiography Program or related field.
• MR Certified and BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Positions patient on examination table and places specified coil near area of interest according to Radiologist's protocol.
• Demonstrates use of microphone to communicate with patient during examination.
• Enters data such as patient history, area scanned, and orientation into the computer.
• Keys commands to specify scan sequences and adjust transmitters/receivers.
• Monitors patient safety and comfort from control room.
• Views images on display to ensure picture quality.
• Keys in data on keyboard to photograph images.
• Alerts staff to dangers of metal around the magnet.
